The study investigated, the application of social media platform on organization of school sports programme among secondary schools in kwara state, Nigeria. Descriptive research design of survey type was employed for this study. The population for this study comprises of all sports officers in the study area. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 100 respondents for the study. A researcher structured questionnaire was used to gathered dat for the study. The instrument was validated by experts in the Department of Human Kinetics Education, University of Ilorin. The reliability level of the instrument was established through test re-test method using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC). A coefficient of 0.65r was obtained. The Administration of the instrument was done by the researchers and four trained research assistant to the respondents. The data collected were analyses using inferential statistics of chi-square (x2) to test the formulated hypotheses set for the study at 0.05 alpha level. The result of the findings revealed that facebook have significant influence on the organization of school sports programme among sports officers, whatsapp usage have significant influence on the organization of school sports programmes among sports officers in secondary schools in kwara state. Based on the findings, the study concluded that sports officers in schools are to trained on the effective usage of social media platform such as facebook, whatsapp usage to disseminate information on the organization of school sports programme among the sports officers. Sports officers are to raised up to the task of using twitter to communicate with others colleagues especially on the area of organizing school sports progammes in schools.
